Boston Digital Video and videographer Jerold Gelfand, a Massachusetts web video producer created a customer service training video for North Atlantic Corporation and Cooper Stairworks. This demonstration webvideo provides a detailed step by step process on putting together a pre-fabricated spiral staircase. Contractors use this YouTube video to assist in creating the staircase out in the field. They watch it on their iPhones and iPads and trouble shoot on-location which helps overall customer satisfaction of the product.

The beginning of the media production consisted of the entire staircase build up in time-laps mode. The professional video script was written and story-boarded prior to the custom video production. A lot goes on behind the scenes during the big video production shoot day. In past blogs I have talked about different aspects of the corporate video pre-production process. That is a general term that corresponds to preparations before any video production and editing. I have talked about location and production scouting, interview prep, finalizing on-camera streaming video presentations and coordinating on-camera experts. You also want to make sure to conference with internal staff and prepare them with on-camera information.

They are re-formatting digital media and making room on their hard drives for original footage and backups. They are double-checking with their videography crew and talent to make sure everything is ready to go with all aspects of the streaming video shoot. They have projectors and other office equipment available for rent. Also many times when shooting a corporate video production, people come from different areas so finding a central location for everyone will be appreciated.

A location can be important. Make sure you budget in for a site survey if you think your location might be an issue during your shoot date.
